I'm an environmental biology college student in queens ny.
I guess I look fairly average, though I'm currently growing any hair that cares to on my head and don't intend to maintain it too much.
I occasionally: play instruments, ride bikes, watch movies, read literature, go on trips down the rabbit hole, listen to music, spend time with my cat, go to parks, drink, pretending I'm a fish with expensive gear and a tank on my back, take care of my 3 year old nephew (which is an awesome experience even if it's trying at times), leave the country to see whether or not I want to live in a different one, go to school and try to learn about scientific stuff, and other things less prominent in my mind at the moment.
I basically never meet vegans, which is annoying because I'd like to meet them and learn from them about veganism and life. That being the case, I decided to try this site to hopefully meet some vegans who live not too far from me. Though NYC is alright, and it's hard to decide which part of it I like best, I think I do like queens more than the rest, it seems to have more parks, and that's worth the suburban feel of most parts of it. Also, it's apparently the most diverse county in either america or the world, which counts for something even if it's not visible on a day to day basis.
Ideally, I'd like to meet someone who
-also lives in queens or close to it in brooklyn somewhere
-is as poor as me ( 30,000 or more a year seems like royalty to me)
-is all around vegan
-is as sad as me that coffee houses, like those in rural areas where the owner only needs it to be 7% filled on any given day to make a comfortable living, basically don't and can't exist in the city, but would like to try to find some and sit there and tell me about there lives, themselves, and why (to the best of their knowledge) those two things are the way they are.
