Hello,

My name is Peter and I have been a vegan for 27 years. I have been married for 12 years but we are now in the process of getting divorced. We have a beautiful 10 year old daughter who is the most precious thing in our lives.

I have a degree in biochemistry and my usual job is a laboratory technician.

I am a laid back man and my sense of humour is pretty good.

I am very fit as I cycle a total of 26 miles getting to and from work every weekday. I do not have a car but I do have a driving licence and spent 25 years driving in the past.

My main interest is gardening and I have 2 allotments as well as a small garden at the back of my home for growing. I try to grow as much as possible and would like to live completely off the land but it is difficult to do in the UK unless you are wealthy.

I have Richard Mabey's book 'Food For Free' which is one of the main books on foraging food from the wild and this has been my most recent interest. I collect and eat chestnuts, acorns, sloe berries, hawthorn berries, rosehips, blackberries and seaweed amongst other things. About two thirds of my food is raw straight off the plant. I am in perfect health and have never had any health problems in the whole of my life.

I enjoy listening to music and my favourite musicians are John Lennon, Jim Morrison, Morrissey and Joe Strummer amongst others. My favourite bands include The Beatles, The Clash, The S-- Pistols, Green Day, The Jam, The Smiths, REM, Nirvana and The Doors.

I am politically a left wing and anti establishment person and am staunchly republican and atheist.

I make my own beer and wine and have done so since 1982 so am an expert at it.

I am looking for a compatible vegan woman and I would like to have more children but it is not a requirement. I just want a woman that I can get on with as I am just coming out of a marriage where we eventually became incompatible in our personalities.
