New 2 Vegan Hello,
I joined this site to meet other vegan's for friendship, penpals, or possibly more. I am new to being a vegan and would like to share ideas, thoughts, recepies & stories because I do not know any other vegans. I've recently become a vegan after reading the book Skinny B----, this book changed my life and my view of the farming & dairy industry. After reading Skinny B---- I've done alot more research and discovered much more unsettling things about the food we put in our bodies without questioning it first. The food we have been brought up on and told it was what we needed. I've never eatin red meat my entire life so this is not a huge change for me, the hardest part for me still is eating out.
Outside this I enjoy hiking, swimming, going to the beach, watching movies and I love music! All kinds, but mostly classic rock, indie rock, some techno and some country (canadian country).
I'm really enjoying the chanllenge and rewarding feeling I get from being a vegan.
