I'm an aspiring novelist and a lawyer who roots for the underdog. After work, I enjoy heading to the gym to row or run. In my free time, I like to volunteer for animal organizations and unwind at Red Derby, Marvin, R'n'R Hotel, or any of the never ending list of new Shaw spots. I'm generally happy finding a low-key spot for some witty conversation and lots of laughs.

Music is essential, and I question how I survived before my ipod. I also enjoy modern art and good fiction, have an addiction to horror movies (even though they scare me to tears, literally) and probably spend too much time in my bathtub. I root for the Brewers and whoever's playing against your favorite team. (And I make an exception to my underdog policy in order to cheer for the Yanks.) I also enjoy watching UFC matches and live hockey.

I'm a sucker for intelligence and a biting wit that occasionally makes me say "ouch." I find nothing sexier than compassion for animals and for one's fellow man. (Although a really geeky pair of glasses or a great hat place a close second.)

I'm looking for someone who understands balance: someone who can enjoy a crazy night out but still knows the importance of school nights, someone who is just as comfortable discussing the latest play by Neil Labute as he is trying to top my high scores at my favorite dive bar. Part Palahniuk, with a dash of Hemingway.
