looking for people i really connect with I am looking for something relaxed right now... serious relationships need to be based on real friendship.

I think it is important to realize at the outset, that of the world's 7 billion people, not everyone is going to be right for us... even if they are all awesome, and I am awesome: it is difficult to have meaningful and deep relationships if you are trying to subdivide your time into 7 billion parts to connect with all your friends. So, it is not a judgement on yourself, or on others, that some people are just not who you need or who you want to spend your time with right now... be willing to respect yourself, and them, by being true to yourself, and respectful with them in sharing what you really need in a non-judgemental way.

I am somewhat unconventional, dancing to music that noone else hears, so I value other people who can source their worth and direction from within, from spiritual connection. I like being around people that encourage me to be in an authentic heart space, and that can be laid back and laugh, especially when life starts to get rough.

I try to live by a saying the Buddha said: do not believe something simply because it is in a book, or someone important said it, etc, but see what I can relate to from my own understanding. This helps me stand in my own sovereignty, and source my own decisions from this; instead of always deferring to others, this allows me to be free from judging everything based on others' opinions, instead having a stronger sense of myself, my own values, dreams, and goals. This allows me to have real conviction in things, and to stand 'for' something, even when its hard.
'If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.'

I used to do 'guilt-based' activism - no matter what I did, it was never enough; there's always more problems to solve. This leads to feeling miserable and burn out. Instead, I'm going to feel great about what I'm doing, and help others come alive too.
