Kind Smart Quirky Lady Seeks Fellow Vegan I'm on this site because while being vegan isn't the only thing I need in common with a partner, it's one of the biggies to really be able to be myself & be comfortable around the person I care about. Ethical vegan since 15. It's my whole lifestyle and not just what I eat.

I'm a progressive person who cares deeply about causes and political issues, & also someone who values making time for family and friends. (My family is multi-racial & includes GLBT people, so an appreciation of differences & intersectionality is helpful.) I'd like to be a parent in future, which is the other reason I'd want to partner with someone who shares the same ethics. Family includes my rescue critters, so I'm looking for someone who would love having a dog & a bunch of cats around. Joyful chaos and all that jazz.

Mainly I'm looking to meet someone who would respect me as an equal & a friend (not just looking for a younger woman or "Miss Right Now" - yes I saw that in a real profile). A guy who would enjoy both a quiet geeky night at home & a travel adventure to new lands. I've lived & traveled abroad a lot and speak more than one language so I'm open to cross-cultural matches, as long as there's not a conservative family or required religion in the mix.

Basically, I value giving, kindness and respect and am looking to receive the same. Someone who knows that every day isn't like the first time you meet or your early dates, but knows that's fine because that means we're there for each other as we change and grow. I'm a straight talker so I appreciate honesty, and substance over style. If you love Star Trek, Prince, alt comedy, dancing &/or being gloriously goofy together, that'd be the icing on the proverbial cake!
