Hello to all the lovely herbivores! I've been vegan for 8 years now and still going strong. I'm an ethical vegan, so I'm not interested in the health aspect, although I do think that my eating habits are pretty healthy compared to the average.

I'm perfectly happy being single. However, it would be nice to have a person to call my best friend, confidant, mentor, therapist, partner in crime, and love.

I don't take myself too seriously. I like to mess around a lot and make fun of myself. I love walking around, everywhere and anywhere, on a sunny day. I try to take in all those things we take for granted. I might stop to appreciate a tree or to watch how the crows teach their young how to fly and attack. Really slowing down and being conscious of the "little things" has enriched my life and reinstated a sense of wonder in me that I thought was lost. I also love hiking, swimming, learning languages, watching movies, reading books, singing terribly, being naked as much as possible, bowling, mini-golf, bungee jumping, picnicking, people watching, crosswords and nonograms, trivia, travel, kayaking, and cooking. I also love spending time at home just decompressing from work or school. I could (and sometimes do) spend all day in bed.

I currently work full-time as a cook in a restaurant and have just applied to a local university to start my Master of Community Planning degree. I have a BA in Geography, Urban and Regional Management, and hope to eventually plan sustainable communities where a vibrant, civic life can flourish.
