I'm a freelance photographer, originally trained as an art teacher, have mostly been a college lecturer.

I enjoy most of the usual diversions, including conversation, countryside, music and the arts, travel and discovery, sunrise, improvised cookery, optimism, heritage, rainbows, snow, humous, black chocolate, jacuzzis, bathing by candlelight or under the stars, The Snowman, Radio 4, comedy, Private Eye, The Wonder Years, W B Yeats, beaches, waterfalls, birdsong, nature in general, kites, Appleby Raft Race, Wynndebagge, Walker Gallery in Liverpool, art nouveau, Pre-Raphaelites, surrealism, San Sebastian, Snowdonia, getting out on my bike and a big etcetera.

My favourite memories include the 'Little House on the Prairie' log cabin I used to live at, and, as a child, my alsatian pulling me on a sledge across a frozen lake.
