rational, as opposed to emotional, vegan.
ethical vegan: i choose a vegan life-style (as opposed to a non vegan one) - and therefore consider myself 'vegan' – as it is the only rational/ethical choice in the society i live in. this encompasses several reasons, all equally important to me: the planet/environment, avoidable reduction of suffering for non-human sentient beings, health, wellbeing of individuals & whole communities, self-worth.
no problem with killing mosquitoes biting me or other internal (worms)/external parasite (ticks).
humans come first, & children above everybody.
against any form of forced medical intervention, on single individuals or populations.
asking somebody's ethnicity is racist. don't expect an answer from me.
very liberal (your body your choice alone until your actions directly affect others/the planet) and very left – an unusual combination.
i prefer the company, and seem to have more in common, with self-reliant individuals – liberal & to the right – who value their (and their children) independence, love the natural world, hunt & eat their prey than many vegans i consider to be irrational & hypocritical.
i find pet lovers depressing & quite infuriating at times. as far as i'm concerned, dogs & cats have no special place or priority above any animal, & pets are absolutely no more important than any farm or wild animal.
i can't stand the dogmatic quasi-religious interpretation of veganism as adopted by the vegan society. i consider it to be narrow-minded, unhelpful & counterproductive, producing the well known holier-than-thou intransigent 'purist' vegan, incapable/uninterested to see further from their own nose or acknowledge their overwhelming hypocrisies. i do not wish to have any association with them &, for this reason only, at times i prefer to refer myself as 'plant-based'.
