People describe me as easygoing and approachable. I try never to judge anyone, and to accept people as they are. While I take many things seriously, I'm also the first to laugh at myself: actually, I have a big silly streak. I have been a vegetarian/ vegan since 1983. I am active with a local Reform synagogue, and for me vegetarianism is an expression of kashrut and the belief in t'zaar baalei chaim--avoidance of harm to animals.

My interests and hobbies include going out for dinner, attending cultural events and museums, hiking, working out, and travel, but I will try most things at least once.

I have no specific prerequisites regarding the lady I meet: I prefer simply to meet someone, and then to let that relationship run its own unique course. Just as I want to see her happy and fulfilled and support her in pursuits that are important to her, I expect her to support me in the pursuit of what will help me to be happy and fulfilled. Shared interests and hobbies are important: the freedom of each partner to pursue activities separate from one another is also important for a healthy, vital relationship. The lady I meet would be the most important person in my life, as I hope to be the most important one in hers.
