I'm a new vegan, but a true vegan I've been Vegetarian for 6 years, but I've only just recently been able to kick my addiction to cheese. I finally went vegan for environmental reasons, more than the animal rights reasons (although, animal rights is why I first went vegetarian, so it was still a huge part of my decision).
Since I'm so new to veganism, I'm here partially for moral support... cheese and pastries still haunt me, and I'm still getting the hang of vegan cooking... I've been living off of hummus and avocado rolls.
But I'm also here because I'm sick and tired of not having any vegan/vegetarian friends, and having to justify my lifestyle choice to the men I date- and for once maybe interacting with people who share my ideals might be nice
