Posted:     Post subject: Red Fruits First

Hi! In my experience from reading nutrition and dietary articles, most say that the darker the fruit the better. Fruits such as cherries, pomegranates, purple grapes, and such are rich in nutrients and antioxidants wich help fight again free radicals in your body!

`I've been on a 100% raw, mainly fruitarian diet for a number of years (around 6 year-round, seasonally before that). I also have a background in nutrition & have been experimenting with things throughout my near-lifetime of veganism (over two decades). I have lived on both coasts of the USA (NYC & SoCal) as well as in the UK for quite some time.

What I've found works best, nomatter where I happen to be staying at any given time, is eating seasonally, organically & as locally as possible. These are my very basic, general rules of thumb for maintaining a fruitarian diet.

Other factors you may wish to consider are activity levels vs. energy intake. I would not suggest eating anything overly hybridised (bananas, anything non-seedbearing) en masse (if at all).

I do medium sweet to non-sweet fruits most regularly. Persimmons, coconut, apples, tomatoes; avocados are also wonderful (especially the Fuerte & Reed varieties).

Hope I've been able to share something helpful, and best of luck on your journey! =)
