`Most people become vegan for ethical reasons. To align with their values and or to help liberate animals. A few ethical reasons may be to not contribute towards sentient death, to reduce suffering, to reduce harm, or to not contribute towards exploitation (my personal favorite). People may go vegan after questioning why they eat/wear animals when they clearly love their companion animals a lot, they may start questioning what the morally relevant difference is between a farm animal and a "pet". If you're interested in the ethical reasons try watching "Gary Yourofsky Best Speech" on youtube.
If you're more interested in the health reasons veganism probably isn't for you. Having said that, you may decide to go vegan after eating mostly plants after a while, a lot of people do! If this is the case you are probably interested in a whole foods plant based diet, watch the documentary "Forks over Knifes", if you like reading about nutrition I can recommend several books also.
